Running on Empty

I am currently sitting on a flight to Las Vegas looking out over the Grand Canyon from about 28,000 ft. My how things have changed in the past month. The last blog I posted, it was my birthday. I was planning on moving to Phoenix, and was rather content working for the Globe School District. Not more than a week after that I received a phone call for a job interview with a marketing company. The interview was to take place hours later where I was hired on the spot to do design and more technical web services. They also wanted me to start the following Monday for training on a new system they were implementing.

Suddenly my life was turned upside down. I needed to find a place to live, find a vehicle to get me to work and back (about 60 miles round trip), and also sort out and close up all of my old life in Globe.

Most of those things have happened in the past couple of weeks. I am borrowing my brother-in-law’s car. We are renting a house which has more than doubled our prior square footage, and we are slowly trying to get our house in Globe sold.

I am flying to Vegas for a business trip for a user conference for this system that we are implementing to see what other companies are doing with it. Everything is going so fast that I am kind of freaking out. Its all very exciting and a bit sad to see our old life go away so quickly.

We are now descending and it is time to put up the tray tables.
